The class is held across two days and starts with four hours of theory. Participants get taught how to best react when a fire unexpectedly breaks out, which includes learning about the different types of fires as well as extinguishers.
On the second day people then complete four hours of practical exercises in a safe environment, for instance at the National Fire and Rescue Centre (CNIS) in Gasperich.
People as young as 14 can register for the free fire safety course. For more information on CGDIS classes, please visit cours.cgdis.lu.
