A multi-agency emergency training exercise involving CGDIS, CFL, and CHdN will take place at Ettelbruck station on Saturday, focusing on improving coordination and response to large-scale incidents.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), the Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL), and the Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN) have announced a joint training exercise titled “Multi-victim emergency plan,” scheduled for Saturday morning at Ettelbruck station.

The exercise aims to evaluate emergency response plans, test coordination between the three organisations, and familiarise paramedics with rail-specific scenarios.

The exercise will run from 8am to 9.30am at Ettelbruck station, followed by a session at the CHdN from 9.30am to 10.30am. RTL photographers will be present to document the event.

This is not the first such exercise conducted in Luxembourg. In 2024, a similar drill took place at the Markusberg Tunnel, where the A13 motorway was closed for six hours to simulate responses to a car fire and a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

Two weeks ago, the CGDIS carried out a training exercise on the tram network.
