An incident on the CR168 between Bettembourg and Kockelscheuer left a car completely engulfed in flames. Although the vehicle could not be saved, the driver's quick reaction prevented a more serious outcome.
Shortly before noon on Monday, the driver noticed smoke coming from their car on the CR186 between Bettembourg and Kockelscheuer. The motorist reacted promptly, pulled over, and parked the vehicle at the side of the road. While the driver was calling the fire brigade, the car burst into flames.
Firefighters arriving at the scene managed to prevent the fire from spreading further. The vehicle was completely destroyed, and the driver was taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up.
