A car collided with a tree between Noerdange and Huttange, leaving two occupants with serious injuries. The driver was airlifted to hospital by rescue helicopter.
The road remains closed while clearance operations continue.
Shortly after, at 3.36pm, a lorry and a car were involved in a collision on the Esch motorway between Foetz and Lallenge, resulting in one person being injured.
