A driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree for reasons that remain unclear. According to police, initial information suggests there were no injuries. Police and Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) crews have been dispatched to the scene, and traffic is currently heavily disrupted on the affected road.
Shortly before 5.30pm on Wednesday, two cars collided on Rue de Limpach in Soleuvre. Three people were injured. Firefighters and ambulances from the Esch-sur-Alzette and Sanem-Differdange response centres were sent to the scene, alongside the emergency medical service (SAMU) from Esch.
At around 6.15pm, one person was injured when a car crashed on Rue de la Libération in Dudelange. Dudelange firefighter and ambulance crews attended, along with the SAMU from Esch.
The Luxembourg City fire and rescue services were called to Rue de Strasbourg at 6.44pm, after a car and a motorcyclist crashed.
At 8.18pm, two cars collided between Heiderscheid and Fuussekaul, leaving one person injured. Firefighters from the Alebësch and Nordstad fire stations attended, along with responders from Wiltz.
At around 8.55pm, one person was injured in a kitchen fire on Grand-Rue in Wasserbillig. Firefighters and ambulances from Mertert were on duty.
An hour later, two cars collided in Hesperange on Route de Thionville, with only material damage reported.
At around 2.15am on Thursday morning, a van crashed into the crash barrier on the A13 heading towards Pétange, between the Croix de Bettembourg interchange and Beringen. One person was injured in the crash. Ambulances from Bettembourg and firefighters from Dudelange and Bettembourg attended.
