According to the Veterinary Services Administration, high levels of aflatoxins have been found in the brand "Lima" rice waffles.

These toxins develop due to specific mold, which can arise in a humid environment or higher temperatures. These “aflatoxins” are considered by the EU regulatory health agencies as genotoxic and carcinogen.

The recall concerns 130 g packages of “Galettes de riz 100%” by the brand “Lima”, with the series number R22182B and the best before date 02/07/2023. The product has been removed from the shelves of different stores.
