The incident took place before 7am. Nobody was injured.
Emergency services from Roeserbahn, Bettembourg and Luxembourg City were on site to extinguish the fire.
It is unclear what led to the accident.
In a separate incident, around 10.30am, a person was knocked down by a car in rue du Kirchberg in Weimerskirch. She was taken to hospital with injuries.
