The resident was alerted to movements in her home by her baby monitor, enabling her to hear several voices in her supposedly vacant home.
She quickly alerted the police, whose patrol found a burglar in the house. A second burglar tried to elude detection by taking the bus.
Searches carried out at the police station revealed several items in the possession by one of the two suspects. The suspect was unsuccessful in their attempt to flee the police station.
Meanwhile, four other individuals were spotted in an abandoned building, one of whom tried to flee. All were eventually arrested and taken to the police station. The man who had tried to lose the police, was in possession of several stolen items.
The two individuals, who were caught with several items of stolen property, were arrested and brought before a judge on Saturday morning.
