
Burglars gained entry through force to a house on An der Honselerbaach, Wiltz, between 4.30 and 5.30pm on Wednesday. A number of valuables were stolen. A police investigation has been launched and a lawsuit initiated.
Two bicycles were stolen in Dalheim on the street “Om Flouer” at around 2pm on Wednesday. The items, which were stored in a locked box, were a blue Kato women’s bike and a red Ghost men’s bike, each worth around €750.
A hit and run occurred on rue de Strasbourg in Luxembourg City at 4.45pm, as a motorist fled the scene after knocking down a pedestrian. The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while police have launched an investigation into the incident.
At 7.30pm a car collided with a cyclist in Sanem near the A13 motorway exit. The cyclist was taken to hospital for further treatment after suffering minor injuries in the crash, while police recorded the incident.
Police officers in Hamm spotted a car with both front tyres deflated at a red light near the Irrgarten roundabout. Upon checking the vehicle, the driver was found to be under the influence of marijuana and did not pass a drug test. A clinical examination was ordered, the car was towed and a police complaint raised.
