Police have received reports of two burglaries that occurred on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning in Luxembourg City.

In the first incident, unidentified individuals broke into a flat on Allée des Poiriers in Kirchberg on Tuesday afternoon. The police were informed of the burglary at around 4.45pm.

The means by which the perpetrators gained access to the premises remains unknown, but they managed to thoroughly search the flat. According to the police, several valuable items were stolen. An investigation has been launched to apprehend the culprits.

Another burglary occurred on Wednesday morning on Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte. The culprits smashed in the rear door using a stone and stole several valuables.

Meanwhile, the police also report that a person was mugged at the railway station in Esch-sur-Alzette on Tuesday night. The victim told the police that they were intimidated by two people, who ended up stealing a large amount of cash. The culprits are on the run and an investigation has been launched. The victim remained unharmed.
