A number of burglaries were reported over the last few days, while a person was mugged at knifepoint in Esch-sur-Alzette on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, a burglar broke into a family home on Rue de la Montagne in Kleinbettingen, stealing cash in the process.

Overnight, a residence in Ettelbruck was targeted by an intruder, who stole valuables and jewellery before making their escape.

Mugged at knifepoint

The perpetrator used a knife to threaten their victim and proceeded to steal a rented bicycle, which was later found abandoned near the town hall. However, there were no traces of the thief. An investigation has been launched.
