At 6am on Saturday, police were alerted to a break-in on Rue de Robert Schuman in Esch-sur-Alzette. The burglar was caught red-handed, which is why he decided to flee the scene on foot.
Thanks to a thorough suspect description, police were able to locate the fugitive burglar at the train station in Luxembourg City’s Gare district. Officers managed to detain the individual and found the stolen objects on him.
He was arrested by order of the prosecutor’s office and presented to an examining magistrate on Saturday afternoon.
