The owner of a single-family home in Rollingergrund noticed that somebody tried breaking into the building through one of the lower windows. Police arrived in time to detain the culprit, who was then arrested by order of the prosecutor's office. On Sunday morning, the burglar was presented to an examining magistrate.
Two further break-ins were reported in Esch-sur-Alzette. Several unidentified individuals entered the respective apartments and stole valuable goods. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
Further break-ins took place in Rameldange, Howald, as well as Junglinster.
