A Buergbrennen fire that got out of control and a car plunging into a water retention basin were among several incidents reported by Luxembourg's emergency services on Saturday evening.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported several incidents on Saturday evening, including several road accidents and fires.

At around 6.20pm, smoke appeared on a bus at the Nossbierg stop on Rue de Rumelange in Esch-sur-Alzette, apparently due to a problem with the coolant. No one was injured.

A car crash occurred in Mertzig at 7.06pm, leaving one person injured.

At 7.48pm, emergency services were called to a Buergbrennen site in Hoscheid-Dickt where the blaze had gotten out of control. No injuries were reported.

Emergency services further report that car fell into a water retention basin located on Rue Pierre Hamer in Pétange at 9.41pm, though nobody was injured.

Shortly after, a car overturned on the A4 towards Luxembourg, near Raemerich, leaving one person injured.

At 1.36am, the CGDIS responded to a fire on a terrace on Rue Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Mersch, which caused no injuries.

Finally, a car crashed into a fence on Rue Emile Mark in Differdange at 4.18am, with one person sustaining injuries.
