RTL Today
On Thursday morning, MPs discussed the new Nordstad secondary school project.

Minister for Public Works François Bausch presented the corresponding draft bill to the responsible parliamentary commission.

The new building will be located in Erpeldang-sur-Sûre, about 800 metres outside of the town itself. The secondary school is currently spread across a number of buildings in Ingeldorf and Diekirch.

The new building is expected to have space for approximately 1,200 full-time students as well as about 540 students in vocational training. Current plans include 47 classrooms, 13 specialised rooms, five labs, and 24 workshops.

The budget is set at €153 million. Until the final project is concluded, a temporary building for about 450 students at the same location is supposed to take in some of the pupils from the other schools.
