On Friday around 11.30am, a man alerted the police after noticing signs of a break-in at his neighbour’s home in Wecker. A window had been smashed, the garage door was open, and the neighbor’s car was missing. Inside the house, several rooms had been visibly ransacked.
Police launched an investigation immediately, and the stolen vehicle was later recovered in Kirchberg.
Later that same day, at around 9.30pm, another break-in was reported – this time at an apartment building in Differdange. A watch and two perfumes were taken from one of the apartments.
In both cases, the police’s forensic unit was dispatched to the scenes. Investigations are ongoing.
