PoliceBreak-in in Kirchberg, three drink-driving incidents

Police arrested a burglar on Wednesday in Kirchberg, while three motorists were picked up elsewhere for driving under the influence.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, an intruder gained access to a commercial premises on Avenue John F Kennedy after smashing open a window. However, the perpetrator was caught by police and brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday afternoon.

Drink driving

Late on Wednesday afternoon, police noticed an intoxicated individual driving along a cycle path in Merl. When pulled over, the driver initially failed to cooperate with the authorities, but the eventual breathalyser test returned positive results.

In Remich a speeding car drove through a construction site and into the wrong lane. Officers were able to pull the car over and confiscated the driver’s licence for driving whilst under the influence.

Overnight, another intoxicated motorist crashed their vehicle in Schoenfels, although fortunately they escaped from the crash without injuries.
