At around 1am on Friday, an assault was reported between the Schuman roundabout and the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge. A pedestrian was hit in the face with a bottle by an unknown person.

He suffered eye injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Officers came to take his statement, but the man was unable to give the exact direction in which the assailant fled. An official complaint has been filed.

A little later in the night, a patrol broke up a fight on Place de la Gare. Of the four people involved, the police had to arrest one who was heavily inebriated.

A man had his watch snatched from him in the city centre, in Rue Aldringen, at around 2.45am. Two individuals stopped him and distracted him before forcibly taking his watch. They fled towards Place d’Armes and have not been found.

At around 3.30am, a man was hit on the head and face in the Merl car park. His wallet, mobile phone, and car keys were then stolen.

Meanwhile, two burglaries were reported in Bonnevoie and Kayl.
