The B49 towards Germany remains closed after pieces of concrete fell from a railway bridge near Wasserbillig on Thursday morning.
Rail services between Wasserbillig and Trier were initially suspended following an incident on the line. Shortly before midday, national railway company CFL announced that the disruption had been resolved, although delays and cancellations could continue.
The B49 federal road between Wasserbillig and Igel was also closed.
The disruption was caused by damage to the railway bridge crossing the B49 at Wasserbilligerbrück, shortly before the German border. According to German newspaper Trierer Volksfreund, citing a Trier police spokesperson, two or three pieces of concrete fell from the bridge on Thursday morning.
Deutsche Bahn is currently assessing the damage, according to the newspaper.
