Postal vote blunderAuthorities scramble to rectify missing instructions in seven municipalities

RTL Today
Minister for Home Affairs Léon Gloden has confirmed recent reports that voting instructions were omitted in seven municipalities during the postal vote for the European elections.

This revelation follows an urgent parliamentary question raised by MP Meris Šehović of the Green Party (déi gréng).

Minister Gloden clarified the situation by emphasising that this oversight does not compromise the validity of the elections. He assured that the omitted instructions will be promptly sent to affected voters in the seven municipalities.

Additionally, Gloden underscored the challenge of assessing the impact of this omission on voter behaviour without infringing upon ballot secrecy. He highlighted that the instructions are readily available on various online platforms, including guichet.lu.
