According to crime scene reports, the flames first erupted in one car around 9.30 pm, before engulfing two further vehicles parked nearby.

Since arson cannot be ruled out at this stage, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Local firefighters were called to action to bring the flames under control.

A further operation was conducted in Echternach on Thursday at 9.15 am, as smoke was coming from inside a building. A similar incident occurred around 10 am in a forest near Pulvermühl.

In Ettelbruck, a pedestrian was hit by a car on avenue J.F. Kennedy. Emergency services from Diekirch were called to the scene to take care of the injured victim.
