Police were called to handle multiple disturbances involving intoxicated individuals across the Grand Duchy on Friday night and into Saturday morning.

The first incident occurred shortly before midnight at Luxembourg City central train station, where officers were alerted to an aggressive, intoxicated person harassing passers-by. After the individual refused to calm down their behaviour escalated, they were taken into overnight custody following a standard procedures.

A few hours later, at around 5am on Saturday, a brawl broke out at a nightclub in Hollerich. The altercation resulted in one person being taken to hospital with minor injuries. Another individual who was involved became aggressive toward responding officers and, after an assessment, was also detained overnight.

At approximately the same time in Esch-sur-Alzette, police intervened in an argument between three intoxicated people near a petrol station. They had abandoned their vehicle in the middle of the road. Officers confiscated the driver’s licence, issued a temporary driving ban, and placed the driver in custody after being assessed.
