
For the most part, the police received reports of collisions or vehicles that went off the road but left no one injured.
However, several roads had to be closed due to a number of accidents. In Soleuvre, Rue Basse had to be closed shortly after 7am following a collision between a car and a lorry. On the N12 near Goesdorf, a bus that had no passengers on it ended up in a ditch, leading the authorities to close the road to traffic.
Shortly before 7am, a bus and a car collided on the CR106 between Schouweiler and Dahlem, leaving one person injured. The emergency services from Kahler and Dippach and an ambulance from Sanem-Differdange were despatched to the scene.
In Rue de la Gare in Belvaux, a car and a lorry crashed at around 7.20am. No one was injured.
Another accident between a car and a bus occurred at around 7.30am in Waldbillig. The bus started slipping in a bend and hit a car in the process. The bus then crashed into the wall of a front garden before it came to a halt.
Two people were injured in car crashes that occurred in Hoscheid at around 7.40am and about one hour later in Poteau de Harlange, respectively.
A more serious accident occurred on the CR102 between Schoos and Fischbach at 9.51am. The first responder (Samu) from Ettelbruck was called in after a car had overturned. According to the police, one person was injured and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
