The large majority of these cases involved people not respecting the curfew between 11 pm and 6 am.

In the last two weeks, police have carried out some 700 checks to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 measures. The main focus of the checks was on the curfew as well as compliance with health restrictions in shopping malls and at gatherings.

Approximately 300 people were fined for violating Covid-19 regulations. 80% of the cases involved people not respecting the curfew between 11 pm and 6 am.

In 34 cases, a report was drawn up and forwarded to the relevant authorities for non-compliance with health restrictions. According to the police, these cases involved juveniles not complying with the applicable restrictions as well as private gatherings or restaurants and shops in violation of the current health restrictions.
