An important step has been taken for employees at Skyliners, a Luxembourg-based company active in construction and building services: on 30 April 2026, the Luxembourg Confederation of the Christian Trade Unions (LCGB), the majority union, and the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) signed the company’s first collective agreement together with management.

Around 230 employees will benefit. However, the agreement was only announced on 11 May.

The new agreement came into force on 1 May 2026 and is largely based on collective agreements from the construction sector, with adaptations reflecting the company's specific circumstances.

The agreement brings concrete improvements, including 28 days of leave for all employees, an annual bonus, and clear rules on working hours. The unions see it as a positive example of social progress within the company.
