According to the Grand Ducal police, the incident took place at around 2.30pm on rue de Bouillon, Hollerich.
The young suspect threatened staff with a knife and demanded the contents of the cash register before fleeing the premises.
Officers later located the perpetrator in the vicinity of the shop and took the minor into custody. The public prosecutor’s office was informed, and a report of the case has been drawn up by the juvenile court.
