During this act, a two-minute silence will be observed, allowing the congregation to reflect upon and remember those who sacrificed their lives in wars and conflicts around the world.

Remembrance Day, also referred to as Armistice Day in many countries, marks the day World War I ended, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. It is a day where nations worldwide pay tribute to the memory of the fallen and honour those who served. The two-minute silence is a traditional gesture of respect, symbolising a moment to remember the devastating impact of wars and to hope for peace.

The service in Luxembourg City, like many others around the world, embodies the spirit of unity, reflection, and remembrance. It serves as a powerful reminder of the costs of conflict and the unyielding hope for a more peaceful world.

For more details about the service and related events, the public is encouraged to visit the official website of the Anglican Church of Luxembourg at www.anglican.lu.
