The Association of Masters in Vocational Training (AMET), which is subordinate to the General Confederation of the Civil Service (CGFP), distances itself from statements made by Christian Turk, the president of the Luxembourg Association of Masters in Teaching (AMELUX), in an interview with RTL Radio on Wednesday.

Turk had accused Minister of Education Claude Meisch, among other things, of not doing anything substantial to improve vocational training in Luxembourg. AMET, on the other hand, now stressed that it has in fact been involved in a “constructive discussion” with Meisch “for months,” with the intention of working together to find solutions.

The sub-organisation of the CGFP is also opposed to AMELUX’s proposal to equate the Vocational Aptitude Diploma (DAP) to the Classical Secondary School Leaving Diploma (DFESC).
