The president of the administrative court has suspended the injunctions brought by the CNPD, according to a press release from the justice spokesperson on Friday.

The CNPD had ordered the US firm to correct its advertising system by 15 January to comply with European data protection laws or pay a fine of 746,000 Euro per day of non-compliance.

The administrative court has now ruled that the CNPD’s injunction had not been formulated in clear and precise enough terms.

Amazon had also been fined 746 million Euro by the CNPD. This was not mentioned by the court, as the collection of this fine is currently suspended by the government.
