Earlier in the day, another royal, the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, journeyed to Esch-sur-Alzette, following the same cherished tradition. He received a heartwarming reception from the newly re-elected mayor, Georges Mischo, and Taina Bofferding, the Minister of the Interior. Their meeting transpired on the historic Place du Brill, the renowned site that houses the Resistance Museum.
