The Aire de Capellen petrol station is currently closed to cars due to an inability to supply petrol and diesel, the Luxembourg Motorway Traffic Control Centre (CITA) announced on Tuesday afternoon.
However, the closure does not affect lorries, which can still access the station.
An RTL reporter on site noted that the issue appears to stem from a technical problem with the pumping system.
Authorities have not yet provided an estimated timeline for resolving the issue or reopening the station to car drivers.
