The agreement provides for on-call services at retirement and nursing homes on nights, weekends, and public holidays.
This replacement and on-call service will be organised by the AMMD with the collaboration and financial support of the State. The aim is to provide a complementary primary care service for patients living in residential care facilities for the elderly. A GP will be on-call for 300 to 750 retirees spread over various different residential facilities.
For the time being, this agreement will be in effect for one year, from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.
