Shortly before 7pm on Saturday, a police patrol stopped a reckless motorist on Rue Emile Mark in Differdange. While conducting a check of driver and vehicle, another car approached and stopped behind the police.
The driver of said car then began blowing his horn relentlessly. Although one of the officers made clear that the man should stop, he continued. He was unwilling to lower his window and eventually tried to drive away, but stopped again. By that time, the noise had attracted several curious bystanders.
The man then began filming the situation and started to threaten the officers while still blowing the horn of his car.
The situation finally escalated when police decided to detain the man for disturbing the peace. He punched one of the officers in the face and attempted to make an escape in his car. However, he crashed into a stationary bus, which meant a quick end to the resulting pursuit.
Police took the man to the station and informed the prosecutor’s office about the incident. They also filed a complaint for civil disorder.
