New brand affectedAdditional cheeses recalled in Luxembourg after detection of E. coli bacteria

Following the recall of "Morbier" cheeses earlier this week, ALVA announced on Thursday evening that E. coli bacteria have been detected in more cheese products.

On Thursday evening, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the detection of Escherichia coli bacteria (STEC) in additional types of cheese.

This follows two recalls issued on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon for “Morbier” cheese products under the brands Nos Régions ont du Talent and Auchan Terroir, which were flagged for potential E. coli contamination.

The latest recall now includes several cheese varieties under the Jean Perrin brand. The affected products are as follows:

  • Morbier AOP MINI 75 Jours (barcode: 3324440317755) – all use-by dates (UBD) and lot numbers.
  • Plat Raclette au Lait Cru (360 g, barcode: 3324440440361) – all UBDs and lot numbers.
  • Plat Raclette Lait Cru Nature (630 g, barcode: 3324440440996) – all UBDs and lot numbers.
  • Raclette au Lait Cru (barcode: 3324440416762) – all UBDs and lot numbers.
  • Raclette Lait Cru (200 g, barcode: 3324440470726) – all UBDs and lot numbers.
