
At around 4.20am on Wednesday morning, an accident occurred in Rue de Rumelange in Tétange. A driver crashed into two parked vehicles and was slightly injured. The motorist’s driving licence was revoked after a breathalyser test came back positive.
An accident on Tuesday afternoon left one person seriously injured on the CR162 between Hassel and Alzingen. After passing several cars, a driver lost control of his vehicle. He ended up in oncoming traffic but was able to evade another car before tearing through a ditch and crashing into a tree. While the driver and another passenger remained unharmed, the front passenger was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital.
A police patrol on Senningerberg decided to inspect a car at a petrol station because its engine was unusually noisy. A breathalyser check revealed that the driver was inebriated. The police officers revoked his driving licence and immobilised the vehicle.
On Tuesday evening, a fire broke out in a chimney in Niederdonven. The fire brigades from Flaxweiler and Grevenmacher-Mertert were able to quickly get the fire under control.
