
Between Monday and Tuesday, emergency services responded to five separate incidents, resulting in injuries to four individuals.
On Monday evening at around 6.30pm, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a motorcyclist between Ferme Rouge in Pétange and Vesquenhaff in Differdange. Firefighters from Esch and Sanem-Differdange, along with the medical emergency services from Esch, were deployed to the scene.
At 7pm, a cyclist fell in Hueschtergare in Hostert and sustained injuries severe enough to require not only the intervention of firefighters from Rambrouch, but also the medical emergency services and a rescue helicopter.
At approximately 7.20pm on the Trier motorway (A1) in Kirchberg, a lorry flipped over and came to rest on the safety barrier, also causing a pole to fall onto the opposite lane, prompting authorities to close the motorway in both directions. One person was injured. Firefighters from Niederanven and Luxembourg City were on the scene, as well as the medical emergency services and the Logistics Support Centre (CSL) of the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS).
Earlier, at around 4.45pm, a rubbish bin caught fire on Avenue du Rock’n’Roll in Belval. Firefighters from Esch/Alzette were called in to extinguish the blaze.
Later that night, at around 12.45am, a wild animal-related traffic accident occurred between Bleesbruck and Bettendorf. The driver was injured, and the Nordstad ambulance service responded alongside firefighters from Bettendorf.
