The accident occurred at around 2.30 pm, between the intersection of Gasperich and the Berchem area, in the direction of Thionville.
Several cars were involved. A traffic jam of 5 kilometres has been reported as the the overtaking lane is blocked, so the area should be avoided. It is recommended to take the A4 at the Cessange intersection and the A13 at the Bettembourg cross.
Part of the A6 and A1 are also affected by the slowdowns.
