Police reported two necklace robberies in the Gare district on Saturday evening, along with two separate car thefts that led to investigations and arrests.

A robbery was reported on Rue du Fort Elisabeth, where two perpetrators tore a necklace from a person's neck before fleeing. Later that evening, both suspects were apprehended by the police.

A suspect was found carrying the stolen jewellery and was also linked to another theft, and as a result was taken into custody and transferred to the Sanem detention centre on orders of the public prosecutor.

Another robbery took place on Rue Joseph Junk, near the train station. According to initial information, a man approached a woman and told her she had dropped something. When she bent down to look at the ground, the perpetrator snatched the necklace from her neck. The victim was not injured, and the suspect was arrested shortly afterwards. He was brought before the investigating judge on Sunday morning.

The police also responded to two reports of theft from vehicles on the same day. In the afternoon, unknown individuals broke into a car at a petrol station in Mamer and stole a bag, a tablet, and a watch.

Later in the evening, a car window was smashed on Boulevard de la Foire in Luxembourg City, and a wallet was taken from inside. In both cases, investigations have been initiated.
