Luxembourg police have launched multiple investigations following a series of burglaries from houses in Bridel and Berchem and cars in the capital on Friday.

The police are investigating a series of burglaries targeting homes and vehicles across several communes over the past day.

The incidents began on Friday afternoon with a break-in at a house in Bridel. Preliminary reports indicate the perpetrators entered the property through a terrace door and made off with a quantity of jewellery.

Later that evening, a separate burglary was reported at a residence in Berchem. In this instance, the individuals gained entry through a window and are believed to have stolen a safe.

In addition to the home invasions, police are also investigating two vehicle break-ins in Luxembourg City. The first occurred on the Place de Paris on Friday evening, where a suit and a backpack were stolen from a car. A second vehicle was targeted later that night in Kirchberg, where a window was smashed and the interior was ransacked.

Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing in all cases.
