In one of the final preparations for the change on the throne, the names of the future Grand Ducal couple's chamberlains and lady-in-waiting were revealed, signalling a complete renewal of their immediate staff.
In a key preparatory step before the change on the throne, the Maison du Grand-Duc has announced the new entourage for Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and his wife, Stéphanie.
The new appointments include three chamberlains: former aide-de-camp Henri Chrisnach; Antoine Clasen, who will succeed his father in the role; and Raoul Schaaf, President of the National Social Defence Committee. Stéphanie Damgé, who works at the Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed as the new lady-in-waiting.
Notably, this constitutes a complete renewal of the roles, as none of the current chamberlains or ladies-in-waiting serving Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa will be retained for the new sovereign and his spouse.

The roles within the Grand-Ducal entourage are honorary and representative. The primary responsibilities include accompanying the couple to official activities and receptions, as well as representing the Grand Duke at certain events. The couple may also consult their entourage for advice, drawing on their knowledge and experience.
The Maison du Grand-Duc indicated that further nominations to the household will be announced in the coming months.
