The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) reported on Wednesday that Luxembourg’s annual inflation rate rose slightly to 2.3% in July, up from 2.2% the previous month.
This marginal increase occurred despite a month-to-month deceleration in price growth. The national statistics office has revised its 2025 inflation forecast upward to 2.1%, compared to its May projection of 1.9%.
However, STATEC has lowered its 2026 outlook from 1.9% to 1.4%, contingent on two factors: continued declines in energy prices and sustained strength of the euro.
The next wage indexation remains projected for the third quarter of 2026.
