Luxembourg's annual inflation rate rose slightly to 2.3% in July despite a monthly slowdown in price increases, according to new STATEC figures released Wednesday.
The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) reported on Wednesday that Luxembourg's annual inflation rate rose slightly to 2.3% in July, up from 2.2% the previous month.
This marginal increase occurred despite a month-to-month deceleration in price growth. The national statistics office has revised its 2025 inflation forecast upward to 2.1%, compared to its May projection of 1.9%.
However, STATEC has lowered its 2026 outlook from 1.9% to 1.4%, contingent on two factors: continued declines in energy prices and sustained strength of the euro.
The next wage indexation remains projected for the third quarter of 2026.
