'Completely unfounded'Cargolux denies claims of flights through Iranian airspace

RTL Today
Cargolux on Sunday denied accusations that its aircraft flew through Iranian airspace, calling the claims baseless and blaming faulty data from a public flight-tracking app.

Cargolux has firmly denied allegations circulating on social media that its aircraft recently flew through Iranian airspace, stating the claims are based on inaccurate data from a public flight-tracking app – a problem potentially also affecting other airlines.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Luxembourg-based cargo airline stressed that none of its flights use Iranian airspace and called the rumours “completely unfounded”. The company said it relies on “state-of-the-art” tracking systems that provide real-time aircraft locations and confirmed no deviations from approved routes.

Cargolux also emphasised its full commitment to “maintaining the highest standards of safety and transparency” in all their operations.

The speculation comes as Iran and Israel enter the third day of a rapidly escalating conflict that includes bilateral air strikes and has already caused dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries.
