A serious accident occurred on the hard shoulder of the A7 motorway in Luxembourg on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 2pm on the Mierscherbierg slip road of the A7, near Mersch, in the direction of Luxembourg City. According to information obtained by RTL, a motorist lost control of their vehicle, causing it to cross the crash barriers and come to a stop on the other side.
Police reports indicate that the driver was able to exit the vehicle unaided and was taken to hospital for a health check as a precaution. Emergency services responded promptly, and the slip road was temporarily closed to facilitate their work.
This accident adds to a series of incidents on Tuesday, including two major collisions on the French side of the A31 motorway earlier in the day. The first involved a 12-car pile-up, followed by another accident shortly after 11am near the same location.
