Energy provider Creos announced on Thursday that repair works following a power outage in the Gare neighbourhood in Luxembourg City are still underway. While safety and cleaning operations have been completed, the damaged infrastructure is now being repaired.
Creos could not provide a specific timeline for the repairs but assured that it is working to resolve the issue “as quickly as possible.”
The outage was caused by a fire at a construction site on Wednesday, where a construction company accidentally damaged an empty electrical conduit. The fire led to power disruptions in the Gare neighbourhood and parts of Gasperich, also affecting some services of the POST Group.
