Tragedy struck on New Year's morning in Esch, as a man succumbed to his injuries after being fatally stabbed by two minors – his son and stepson.
According to RTL information, two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, stabbed their respective 54-year-old father and stepfather to death on 1 January.
The man was left severely hurt and later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The Luxembourg public prosecutor's office has requested an autopsy.
After initially fleeing the scene, both minors are now in police custody. One of them voluntarily turned himself in to the authorities, while the other required surgery for injuries on the same day. Given their age, the case has been placed under the supervision of a juvenile court judge.
An investigation has been launched into charges of parricide, murder, and assassination. Many details surrounding the case remain unclear
