Police were kept busy over the past days, addressing a range of incidents involving theft, break-ins, and intoxicated individuals.
On Sunday night, a trick theft occurred in Rue Laurent Merger, Luxembourg City. Two men approached a victim while dancing, stealing their purse and phone during the distraction. Police arrested one suspect, who was found in possession of the stolen items. The second suspect was promptly identified.
Additionally, numerous vehicle break-ins were reported across the country on Monday night, particularly in Hollerich and Kirchberg. Investigations are ongoing, and the police have issued preventative advice on their official website.
Authorities are continuing their investigations into these incidents.
Meanwhile, Monday evening and early Tuesday morning saw two arrests for misconduct related to inebriation. At 6.20pm, a heavily intoxicated man in Rue Kreuzerbuch, Hobscheid, displayed aggressive behaviour and was deemed a danger to himself and others. Later, at 1.35am in Grand-Rue, Clervaux, another man was arrested after overstaying his welcome and acting aggressively towards officers.
