A number of changes will be implemented on over 50 RGTR bus lines in Luxembourg as of next week, the Ministry of Transport announced.

On Sunday 15 December, additional journeys are being added to meet demand, while some quieter lines will see reduced bus sizes. Other changes such as additional stops or different routes will also be implemented.

For example, a new bus stop in Dahlem has been created for the bus 821 circulating between the city centre through Garnich to Kéinzig.

Different bus routes will be adapted as well, so that they better correspond with other bus and train connections. One route which will be adapted is line 551 that runs from Thionville to Belval. This line was introduced in 2023, but since the route led via the A3 and A13, it was not very attractive due to the heavy traffic. The route has therefore been completely revised and now no longer leads via the motorway but through French towns such as Ludelange, Aumetz and Audun-le-Tiche. This should shorten the journey time by around half an hour and offers an additional offer for the three mentioned French municipalities towards the Grand Duchy.

Further changes are being implemented based on feedback that municipal administrations have been collecting from residents.

All the changes are available in this downloadable PDF in French.
