In the early hours of Saturday, around 1.30am, an accident occurred on Rue de la Fontaine in Dudelange. One driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for a precautionary check-up. The other driver tested positive for alcohol, but with a blood alcohol level below 1.2‰, their license was not revoked.
Later that same night, four other drivers had their licenses confiscated due to excessive alcohol consumption in separate incidents across Rollingen, Remich, and Esch-sur-Alzette.
On Saturday evening and into the early hours of Sunday, police carried out alcohol checks in Rambrouch, Niederfeulen, Strassen, and Bertrange. These checks resulted in four more license confiscations.
