Police made various arrests in Luxembourg on Sunday related to theft and drug dealing, as well as in a drink-driving incident that led to a crash.
On Sunday afternoon, a car overturned on Rue de Bettembourg in Berchem after the intoxicated driver veered off the road into a ditch. She was taken to hospital for a check-up. Due to her history of multiple drink-driving offences, the prosecutor's office ordered her arrest.
In Esch-sur-Alzette, a thief was arrested following the theft of a purse from a car on Rue des Franciscains. Police tracked the suspect to a petrol station, and a subsequent search of the suspect's apartment uncovered the stolen item. The suspect appeared before an investigating judge on Monday morning.
At Luxembourg City’s main train station, police intervened after two men were involved in a fight near Place de la Gare around 11am. During a search, officers discovered a significant quantity of drugs on one of the men. The suspect, believed to be a drug dealer, also appeared before an investigating judge on Monday.
