The Luxembourg police reported two car break-ins and multiple drink driving incidents in the past 24 hours.

The police intervened several times on Wednesday night, as outlined in the latest bulletin.

On Wednesday evening, a vehicle parked on Rue du Fort Wedell in the Gare neighbourhood was broken into, and a backpack was stolen. Despite a search, the perpetrator could not be located.

Early Thursday morning, another car was targeted in the Bommelscheuer neighbourhood in Hautcharage. According to the police, items stolen included a jacket and cash.

Investigations have been launched in both cases.

In addition to the break-ins, two incidents involving drink drivers were recorded.

The first occurred at around 9.25pm on Wednesday on the N7 between Vianden and Fouhren. A car veered off the main road and onto a country road. The driver tested positive for alcohol and was issued a provisional driving ban.

The second incident took place early Thursday morning at approximately 1.55am in Colmar-Berg near Rue d'Ettelbruck. A car left the road, striking two traffic signs and crashing into the facade of a house. The driver, who also tested positive for alcohol, was taken to the hospital for a check-up and had their driving licence revoked.
